Three Beautiful Beasts that Will Change Your Life March 8, 2010

You may be a person that thinks that luck is real, or you might not be. Irrespective, a plethora of cultures and traditions stipulate that specific animals consistently offer more luck than do others. Read on to discover which of these lucky animals can be applied to your assortment of collectible figurines.

Dragons: Even though many people believe they look evil, many Eastern civilizations consider dragons to be some of the luckiest animals in the world. Dragons are usually the guardians of gigantic treasures and represent powers over both heaven and earth. The Deities are said to have given dragons magical powers that serve to fight the evil intentions of demons and devils. That is why dragons are seen in so many different jubilations around the world. Placed with any number of tabletop fountains, the luck attributes of the dragon can be expanded.

Elephants: The exercise of using elephant pictures and statues as good luck dates back centuries and can be retraced to the Hindu religion. The Hindu God Ganesha had an elephant face and was worshipped as the opener of “the way” and of good luck. The luckiest elephants, at least in Western cultures, are those with their trunks oriented upwards. Most people who are “in the know” will position their elephant figurines in the foyer of their home, with the trunk facing upwards.

Horses: It is agreed upon by all experts that the one animal which equally embodies power, movement and forward motion is the horse. For the last 200 years, horses have literally carried the progress of mankind on its back. While doing this, its become well known that horses are “tapped into” certain spiritual realms that most men and women never visit (evidenced by how scared horses get when bad things are about to happen). Purchase a horse painting or sculpture for a home office, but do not point it at the door.

Although they are not animals, remember that some ethereal entities, like Buddha Statues and angel figurines are known to bring good luck to homes.

For many centuries, humanity has resigned to the fact that fortune plays a great part in the luck of our lives. And as the expression goes, time is the final test of authenticity. Three mighty animals, including horses, elephants, and dragons, have inspired good luck, good fortune, and good health on countless people. Can one of these animals bear upon the outcome of your life the way others have claimed? Don’t respond to this question right away. Just weigh in on it next time you see one of these animals in artwork or real life.
